Thanks again. Yes it is WiFi, now I've looked at an advert for the pc. Yeah, you just need a wireless router. When you get it and have it all plugged in, you should go through the instructions it comes with to protect it (so people can't just log onto it without a password).0 -
Sorry for asking for all the previous advice about dongles and the like. But nobody asked if the new pc was wifi or not ! As this is a cheap once and has it, I'd assume they all are now really ?
In summary, for other people, it seems to amount to: get yourself a wireless router rather than a modem if there's any chance that you'll be getting a new/extra pc at any point. While pretty much all new laptops sold come with wireless, most PCs still don't. Its usually offered as an optional extra, or bundled free to make it seem a better offer, but most of them just come with ethernet.0
