AOL free anytime calls

Has anyone been offered free anytime calls by AOL to 01,02,03 numbers? I have, I have AOL platinum Broadband for which I pay £29.99 and they emailed me to offer this as I am a 'good customer'. You keep your line rental with BT and according to AOL can also retain 1471, 1571 and caller display if you have it already. I have now received a letter from BT confirming the change but it says in the letter that I will only get 1571 if I make a certain amount of calls charged by BT each quarter. That's easy because I will be calling mobile numbers often enough. I am just wondering if there may be some other aspects to this and if anyone can give me some advice or if they have also done it, has it worked well for them? There isnt supposed to be any minimum contract for this, quite surprising as it's with AOL. I need to know before it's not too late to cancel.

You dont have to be a good AOL customer to get it.;)

    See: http://aolbroadband.co.uk/pages/productPages/acquisition/unlimited.jsp?PageID=2&urlseq=14

You need to make six inclusive calls a quarter by using the BT override code 1280 to keep call minder ,caller display foc.(So you could make six weekend inclusive geographical calls).

Would you not be better off using www.18185.co.uk for your mobile calls?

Dont forget to reduce your BT Call Plan to the lowest one,if you have not already done so.

    Thanks Utilitybroker for your advice.

I have decided to cancel this and have just done so, it all seems so complicated to me so am sticking with BT. However, on contacting AOL to cancel, they reduced my Broadband to £19.99 instead of £29.99 a month, so that can't be bad!
