Switching - how do I get my credit back!

I'm now in the process of switching from Southern Electric, and having done meter readings last night I've worked out that I'm over £200 in credit on gas and £30 on electricity!

How will this be returned to me - will I be waiting weeks/months?

When I changed from one supplier to the other I waited about 6wks for my cheque to arrive.

I am currently on the phone to Scottish Power as I write this and they advise for them to credit a customer it takes up to 8wks

    Hope that helps
