I recently went to Corfu for my summer vacation.
Post office in England offering a rate of 1.13 from sterling to euros.
Out in Corfu 1.27 was freely available (no commission) - thats 15p in every pound difference!!!

Are you sure that's not the buying rate?
The commercial rate today is 1.272, so they wouldn't earn much of a living at that level, unless added commissions or fake notes etc...0
