New Central heating system- HELP

Hi everyone I have just had a new Worcester Greenstar 28i boiler fitted to replace my old one. They have also moved it to an upstairs cupboard for me. Now the lads that fitted it had a room thermostat and said an electrician would be coming round to fit it in. Now their boss came round today and when i asked about the room thermostat he said i didnt need it as i had thermostatic radiator valves(which i only have a few of my radiators as i was only getting a new boiler not the full system). I think i am being fobbed off here cos he doesnt want to send an electrician in. I am sure another company told me when i was getting quotes that under new building regs any new boilers fitted had to be fitted with room thermosat. Can anyone please confirm before i ring them back. Thanks

Good morning: Details on requirements are available here
Your installer must be following Basic Practice at the very least. Ensure the Benchmark is completed and you receive a Building Compliance certificate.

Thanks everyone for your help i thought i was i am fed up getting ripped off by people cos they think you are a helpless woman. I know there are soom good builders, plumbers but i think i have got a sign on my head saying "rob me please" . They are meant to be coming back to remove the sludge cleaner in a few days so i will be ready for them. I will let you know what happens. Thanks again.

Hi...the central heating system should have been cleaned before the new boiler was installed...see here Page 9...also take a look at page 33.
