I had been a regular subscriber to Sky Sports for many years. I was then sent to work away for 4 months at the end of last season - Cracking coincidence!!
I decided to get rid of my Sky Sports to save myself some cash, which I did.
My question now is:
How do I get Sky to offer me a deal to re-subscribe for the new season?
I know they offer existing subscribers retention deals when they request to leave - Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and had a good outcome?
Many thanks in advance.

Phone them up to ask how much it is to subscribe. Express distaste at how much it is and say that for that price you're as well watching the matches in the pub, or getting Setanta, or whatever.
Worth a bash. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
That was the plan I had in mind. I can watch most of the stuff I wanna see on Setanta, but need Sky Sports for the Champions League games.
No harm in asking I guess!John

I also got rid of Sky Sports at the end of the season for the first time in about 10 years.
I'm hoping they will call me then I will tell them the football picture isn't great on my large HD tv so it's not worth it unless they give me a good deal on a Sky HD box.
As the other poster says, it's worth a try !0
