Went BR on Friday 25/07/08!!!!!!!!!! need some answers..

Hi guys , well the day came and went, i went to B/Ham County Court/ Civil on Friday, was well scared.
The women who looked after me on the day was FANTASTIC, real nice women.
The Judge also helped me in the way of something missing on my forms, i had not put my Girlfriend as having a BI to the house, when he quized me about my property and i told him about my GF who had paid the mortgage since day one but ws not on the deeds, he explained that proving she had paid gave her as much if not more rights. So that was helpful.

They told me the OR would contact me within 3 hours, she did ring my house and my GF said she could contact me on the mobile but she still hasnt made contact, i thought she would of by now???

Any way i have recieved a letter from THE BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION FUND LIMITED
Any heard of these?
They claim to be able to protect your house etc??

The other question i have is what hints and tips have you got for when i have my interview with the OR?
ie expenditure etc, i understand you can have a bit more when going BR as appose to IVA etc.

Thanks Guys really cant belive i have done it, strange feeling but a releif so far. :T

glad it went well. When the OR sends out the paperwork there will be an Income & Expenditure form with it for you to fill in. Before you do it post your i&e here first and we will give it the once over. Yes they are more generous allowances than on a DMP thats for sure.D

    Hi,
the Birmingham office dealt with my wife and I and contacted us very promptly, we had our telephone interviews two weeks after our BR (wife followed me on same day). Our interviewer went through our i.e form in great detail. I believe the work load for the Birmingham office has increased so you may have a longer wait than we did. Hope this helps!

Hi again guys, was getting a bit paranoid about the OR not making contact so i rang them up, turned out the court had faxed my number over with a digit missing?? she was happy i made contact.
I have my interview on the 11/08/08
The women i spoke with was an exmainer, i think the OR must be snowed under? my interview is with her too.
She has told me to ring my mortgage provider its the same account myself and GF have wages etc paid into. So im off to give them the bad news, see what they say?

Well sounds like things are moving....slowly
your not the first to have that happened though i've known a few members who had wrong phone details submitted.....it's usual for assistant examiners to deal with everything very rare the OR themselves get involved apart from they look over your paperwork when it's first submitted from the court

Good luck with the interview (you'll not need it!)

    Hi topdraw,

How much equity is there in your house?

If there's very little or negative equity then you shouldn't have any problems in keeping the house.

The bank or buliding society won't have any problems with you keeping the house, providing you're up to date with the mortgage and/or any arrears.

    Regards

    Richard
