Yes, it is. I must admit I hadn't considered the possibility that different strengths might come in different pack sizes.

is duraphat for sensitive teeth. i have been using sensodyne for 2 years and its not working, my teeth are getting more sensitive by the day and i dread going to the dentist. i have no fear of extractions, needles but the thought of him cleaning them has me trembling with fear.

Ask the dentist not to do it with "the thing that makes the noise" mine does it "by hand" and i can cope with that x

I have a feeling the 2800ppm tube is 75g so a double pack of that would be about the same amount as a triple pack of the stronger stuff (51g)...that might explain it
(not that anyone probably cares lol)

You're right, see item 12 here:

    http://www.colgateprofessional.co.uk/products/Colgate-Duraphat-2800ppm-Fluoride-Toothpaste/specifics

    and here:

    http://www.colgateprofessional.co.uk/products/Colgate-Duraphat-5000ppm-Fluoride-Toothpaste/specifics

The 5000 has a narrow nozzle which means that a tube lasts quite a long while (hence the smaller quantity), it looks like the 2800 might have a nozzle similar to a normal toothpaste tube.

Almost certainly not, but what the hell!

  • Thanks for the info in here, my dentist prescribed this for me yesterday. The prescription was for the 2800 version and I received 2 x 75ml tubes on my £7.10 prescription.

I've always had terrible trouble with my teeth and nerves dying so hopefully this may help a bit!
