Hi, I've seen a laptop I want to purchase which has Windows Vista installed. Before I purchase the laptop, I need to know if it will work with vista installed. A friend of mine has given me a link to get a free copy of the above software so I just to need to if this version will work with vista?
Thanks
Thanks

I wouldn't guarantee it. That's a very old version. Max 2008 is the oldest one to fully support Vista."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

thanks for your help0 -
It appears they've retrofitted a service pack for version 9 to be compatible but Autodesk have no intention of going further back than that (2007)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

My mates running it on XP fine so I'm hoping it will work with vista. It's a dodgy copy so it's probable different.0 -
If you're going to be using a dodgy copy, at least use an up-to-date one :P
Vista does have a compatibility mode, try that. Right click properties, and its one of the tabs there. Also, when you run it, right click and run as administrator. Don't know if it will work, but don't bank on it.0 -
Having 3DS Max problems at moment myself. Timing calculations have gone all wrong. Not me doing it but I need to import the finished animations today really. Doesn't look likely.
(we use Max 2009 legal paid for copies before anyone asks)"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
