amazon books thread

I have spent a few evenings reading this long post with interest, (i have sold 4 books at a profit of £5.50), but my problem is I am up to page 30, is there a quicker way to get to this page to continue reading instead of wading through all the pages . doing a search doe n't seem to work.
thanks for any help

  • Hi firbyfred

I have tried to put the most important points that are needed to get started in the first post, (and included instructions on how to view 40 posts per page not 10 so you won't need as many page changes to get through all the posts)

I think your best bet is to go on the thread and ask a question, if it's come up before I'm certain that no-one will mind answering it again, there are lots of Amazon-bods around and I'm never far from the computer so you'll get an answer either from me (assuming I know the answer!) or someone else quickly.

I have a link to the original thread in my favourites, and keep going back to it every couple of days, to see what new ideas/thoughts/questions have been posted.

My link takes me to the first page, then on the bit where you can choose pages (it shows 1 - 6 or something) I click on Last (page), it is relatively easy then to jump back as it gives you the six previous pages. So click on the earliest numbered page (currently 41), and so on, till you get to page 30 - I have just tried it and got to page 30 in 5 clicks (if you understand my not very good instructions!) This will be more time saving as you read more pages. At the moment, you can get there from the first page in the same number of clicks by clicking on the last numbered page on each screen (page 6, 11 etc).

I think it is useful/interesting to keep reading new posts, as and when you can, although bow to apprentice tycoon's response above as coming from a far more experienced user! (I haven't read the bit about getting 40 posts per page, as I rarely read the first page anymore!)

I am still a newbie at all this, but getting more experienced daily!!

  • I will try apprentice tycoon's advice next time... as I said, I am a newbie at all this - was quite pleased with myself for finding the Last page button - that took me a while!! Before that I was clicking on every page!??! And I call myself computer literate!?! Just not used to message boards... yet!!
