I belive Cath&Kim are doing theirs together (correct me if I'm wrong guys) and I'm sure it would be OK. The stuff in your kit should last for AGES as it's big full size things, it's not like the Avon kit where you just get a few samples, unless you are like me and keep wanting to use it all! You also get Kit Build every month, which is incentives to reach certain sales amounts and then you get more things to add to your kit. You will have to replenish the consumables like cotton wool and I guess eventually you would have to get more cleanser/toner and things that you'll use a lot of but it shouldn't cost you too much.

Whereabouts are you (I'm in the South East)?
Someone on here may be able to take you through it all.
Do hope you decide to join us, it's the best time of year to join at the moment!

Yes we do it together, had ssooo much fun so far! :-)
We did our first party last night too, sales were £300 + hosts, so not bad for a first attempt! we are happy with that ....
  • Thats fantastic news, well done you two. Did you manage ok with your nerves? Was your first party with people you knew?

    When is your next party?

    Love Fiona x

  • Hi Folks

I signed up to Body Shop last night :j so I'm waiting for someone to contact me.

    It all sounds exciting. :p

I currently do Avon but they only deliver on a Thursday :( (anytime between 9am - 7pm), and I have a full time job so this isnt good for me. I work for a european company so they wouldnt take too kindly if the boxes arrived at work.

Can anybody tell me if, when you take the orders, you have to take the money at the same time?
I'm not a fan of taking money off people before the items have arrived.
I'm guessing you can't order the items without paying for them first!
Also if customers change their mind, can I send the orders back to Body Shop?

My final question, do they deliver pretty much any time of the day?

I'm pretty excited about starting up as I've always loved Body Shop products. :p

HI, yes you do take the money at the parties as the orders go to the hostess to distribute so you wouldn't be there to get the money off them when things arrive. I am sure people can return things if they aren't happy but someone else on here will know more about that. I've only just signed up.
If you order supplies on top of your order you may want to have it sent to yourself to take your bits out first, you would have to be in or they take it to a depo but they are only open office hours anyway. Unless you have a safe place or neighbour to leave it with which a lot of people do.

Also, what do you mean by signed up? Did you put an inquiry through in their website or have you signed up with someone? If you haven't actually spoken to a consultant yet there may be someone on here local to you that can help more, it may take a while for someone to get back to you if you did it through the site.
If you're in the south east, let me know!

  • Hi Ragz

Thanks for that. That's pretty helpful. :T

Yeh I will defo have it all delivered to me first so that I know if there are any problems with missing products etc.

I dont know why I said 'signed up' as, like you said, I only placed an enquiry.

I live in Nottingham so if anyone can get to me sooner than someone from the website that will be brill

Body Shop will take returns of anything that anyone changes their mind about as long as it is unused and unopened. I think you (or the customer) has to pay the return postage unless there is actually anything faulty with the item.

As long as you are not ordering stationary and supplies for yourself then the easiest thing is to have the parcel delivered straight to the host, then you don't need to worry about being in for it. If there are things for you in there then you can put a note on it when you place the order to leave it in a safe place or a neighbour or something I think. Or have it delivered to a friend or relative who lives locally and spends a lot of time at home (That's where elderly neighbours are really useful!)

    Hey Sandi,

I know some of the girls have answered your questions already but, i'll answer too. lol.

Always take payment when people order and to be honest its something iv never had an issue with, as customers can pay by credit or debit card. You just make sure when giving your host her pack that you make her aware that everyone needs to pay on the night of the party.

You can send orders back, like ellie said there is a postage charge. I'll be honest though in over 2 years of doing it iv never had a customer want to send something back because they dont want/like it. Iv only ever had the odd missing item and a broken oil burner, and all you do then is call consultant care (our dedicated care team for any probs) and they sent the customer another one, done!

Every order is delivered by UPS unless its a very small order then it comes via royal mail. (by small i mean like 1 small customer order) I advise strongly that you get the order sent to the host everytime as it saves you alot of hastle, i also wouln't want to check through the orders as each customers order is individually bagged with there name on it and it is sealed.
UPS always knock on a neighbours door if your not in, they usually deliver pretty much anytime of day. And when the other girls mention about stock stuff and getting it delivered to you then, i only order stock stuff with a party if its a family member or close friend otherwise i'll wait till either the beginning or end of the month and put 1 stock order in for me and get it delivered to me.

Hope that answers all your questions.
