Hi all, been using this site for a long while now, but only just registered for the forums!

I am inspired by the Body Shop products and values, and am considering starting with Body Shop at home.

The thing is... are there many men that do this ???

Ideally I would like to involve my wife in the process as well, so we could work together.

Any advice or thoughts you could give would be appreciated.
I am based near Chalfont St Peter in Bucks.

    Kind Regards, John

ibanez - men are very welcome to join and doing it as a partnership with your wife is also fine - only one of you need register but you can both get the training and do the parties - mothers and daughters often partner up. I would advise you to apply through the website and a manager near you will call to get you signed up.

    A warm welcome moneymaker :)
Hi abby1987 - when I started with The Body Shop at Home my sis was going to have a party with me then decided to join!! My sis has never been interested in party plan before whereas I have been involved in umpteen of them, lol - settled in Body Shop though because it is just so,so easy and enjoyable to do, I absolutely love it but it's like men - you gotta try a few before you find the right one, lol! My sister is absolutely flying with Body Shop and is one of the top sellers for the region,(no 2 in July - so proud of her :)).
God I can't wait to get my hands on the lovely, lovely xmas goodies - the sales are going to be fab, fab, fab!! Everyone loves smellies at xmas - it's going to be so easy to sell and the prices are brilliant, ooh I'm so excited!!!
    Have fun everyone :D

  • I have sent out loads of invites for my bodyshop party on the 29th August and I only have 4 confirmed guests at the moment.

Can anyone suggest anyway to increase guests or parties in general?

    Thanks in advance.

I had a similar thing for my party so I would suggest giving some of them a call and telling them what it would mean to you if they were there. I had 4 guests in the end and I was expecting 10! I was going to do another home party but have decided to leave it until November when people will be interested in Christmas shopping etc.

I would call them, or maybe pop around if you can. Alot of guests don't like to accept until the last minute which can be frustrating. Good luck

Have just signed up to become a BSAH consultant under the new deal. I'm a little nervous about it but am going to try very hard to get some bookings in. Have got 2 parties agreed just need to confirm the dates already and my first party will be at home to launch my new career.

However, I wanted a bit more info about holding charity events? I'll talk it through with my AM but before I start booking parties, any advice on this at all?

I really am looking forward to doing the parties as I've wanted to do something like this for ages!

    Best wishes,
    Sackcloth.
Passing it on 24/7... while wearing stylish and confidence building heels!

Weeks until Christmas - 7, yes, I'm already counting...
  • Well I had my first party - I only sold £80 between 4 people but it's better than nothing! Still made after the money back from my starter kit! Want to get some more parties booked that aren't family but proving a bit difficult at the mo!

    nevermind, I'm always the optomist!

  • Im pretty sure ebay selling isn't allowed and if I'm honest it woulnd't be worth it anyway with ebay fees, then paypal fees, postage costs etc - things on there are selling for less than our 25% discount price so there wouldn't be much of a profit margin in it anyway. I saw a full wise woman collection for £17 the other day!
