I just come across and idea for making some money before the party has even started. Its probab;y old hat for you pro's but useful maybe for us newbies!
hvae a square bingo card and sell each square for £2. Draw a random number and the winner gets the money to spend on body shop items. The host will hopefully encourage it because it adds towards their total to try and get their extra free goodies!
Hope this is allowed because Im going to be doing it at my first party!
Hiya! yep i do one of these, except i ask the people to put down their contact details and circle if they are interested in a party and i put the bingo sheets in myhostess packs. hostess bingo. i do £2 a square and theres 20 of them. i have typed instructions at the top of the sheet too so they know what to do, plus it helps towards the hostess' total!

Hi Tina and all,
I do lotto squares and put the in hostess pack but mine have 25 squares on, sold for £2 each and however many are sold,eg, £20 a lucky guest gets to spend in catalogue and hostess gets remaining £20, (20 squares sold at £2 each = £40 - half to guest and half to hostess - this encourages the hostess to sell as many as she can because she is getting additional freebies). Everyone chooses a square and writes their name and tel no so that I can contact them to tell them they have won if they haven't made it to the party or if they have to leave early, (lotto is drawn at end of party when orders have been taken and I have started packing away). I also tell guests that they won't be able to take it off their order because it won't be fair on hostess - if they win it's a freebie for them and gives them a chance to purchase something they might not have been able to afford
I go home with a contact list from the names and numbers on the lotto sheet
Hope this helps :A

If not you will automatically drop from the system once your account doesn't have £150 of sales .
Hope you feel better soon.x
Thanks for reply,
I have done 5 parties and around £750 in sales. Would i qualify to leave? Do you know if i would have to give the kit back, i would prob take the option of emailing the call center as i have never had contact with my manager since before i joined.
Thanks Ky0 -
Thanks Jenny...sounds like a great idea! Also, giving out at the end is even better
On another note, when I went to regional meeting last night there was a folder which all sorts of PDF print outs in it to show hosts at host training - things like the different party themes and stuff. Does anywhere know where I can get these from as I can't seem to find them on the website!
Thanks xx0 -
Hi Ladies,
I'm not sure if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything! I was talking to a friend today who told me that because I already work full time that I would have to register with the inland revenue as self employed. Is this correct? If so is it complicated?
And when registering does anyone know what details I have to include? I looked on the inland revenue website but it just told me what I already knew about!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Will be debt free by December 2016. Total debt £6207.35 . £188 per month on a DMP with Payplan.

Hi - I don't do bsah but I do avon, was just browsing on here! I too work full-time and have had to register as self-employed, I would suggest ringing them up (phone number is ont he site) it only takes a few minutes and is very easy to do. Just need your NI number. As you will already be paying NI with your full-time job you can apply for a small earnings exemption certificate (they will probably explain this when you ring up & post you the form for applying) which means that if you earn profits of less than 5k (can't remember the exact figure) then you don't need to pay NI again. Make sure you save all receipts for things related to bsah as they are costs, and you can use them to work out your profit, which is what you will be taxed on.hthAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Evening Ladies
I logged online tonight to make my first order which was actually just a few bits for myself and my kit - not much just a few extras I wanted. I wanted to buy the bath lillies and also the smart shirt u can get with "The Body Shop" written on teh back but neither came up in the business tools section. Can anyone enlighten me as to where I can find them?0
