even the bodyshop appears to be in trouble with the crunch. I read today they are doing a restructuring and lots of jobs are going from the office based side of things. Hopefully it won't affect BSAH.

Hiya girls, long time no type!

Lost the plot a bit tbh with BSAH, still enjoying it but only had one party this year and can't be bothered really to start ringing up past hosts etc. Please can sopmeone give me a big kick up the butt!!

Hiya Cherrypie and everyone else......
Well, I have had NO parties this year!!! My 1st in 2009 is tomorrow..........................
HOWEVER, I am SO geared up ready for a busy march. I think I was SO busy before xmas that I just needed to sit back, regain my thoughts, ideas and plans, clean my brushes, sort out my paperwork bla blah blah and now I am ready to go again!!!!
March seems like its going to be a fab month! PWP extended, that fab host brush roll, 20% off make-up at the mo!!! People would be foolish NOT to host a party!!!!!
I am also BIG TIME on the recruiting front. HAve had 2 very very motivational meetings with Julia, my RM and am raring to go!!! She has really given me the boost that I needed. And if you remember all my moans before, they were really just cos I didnt feel part of a region/area and now I really do!!!! Plus, I am planning on starting my own area!!!!!!!!!!!
So, cherrypie - why dont you start by sending an e-mail to tons of people??? I did this last wk.........started by sending all my facebook friends a msg telling them why March is such a good time to party. Then I went thru all my past order forms and sent the same e-mail to everyone who previously bought from a party and left their e-mail add on the form. You can do this at 10pm with a glass of wine (watch for typos!!!!!!) and dont need to be QUITE so focused as you would ringing everyone. Really, March is such a good month to host a party you are doing them a favour!!!!
Then, once that has motivated you a bit and you have some replies, you can make the phone calls on Monday!!!!!!
I have a very good feeling about March and think that its is SUCH a good time to host a party - so just sell the concept to everyone!
Thats my plan anyway!!!

Hi All, with regard to this point and an article on BBC news here is the email following the conference call i was on this evening

In the media today there was reference to some changes within The Body Shop
None of these changes will have any effect on either at Home, the retail stores or their staff
A project was started last June which involved head office staff worldwide giving feedback, in workshops etc
The project was to streamline operations, product innovation with business improvement
Some people will be effected worldwide - these changes will make no difference to you or your business
So Business as Usual

Hopefully this will reassure you but also your customers if they heard it too!

Has anyone ever left catalogues and flyers in places like doctors/dentist waiting rooms?
I was thinking of how i could get more parties etc and the perfect places could be where people are sat waiting with nothing to do...but i wasnt sure if this would work, or if anyone else had tried it?

Im thinking of flyering my local area too but it seems like a lot of work and unless you go back and re-call to see if theyre interested, i doubt theyd voluntarily phone?!

And thanks so much for the email idea....i havent got to worry about getting home from work early that way!!
