I just stand up while everyone is filling in their orders, holding my booking sheet, and ask 'who is having the next party then?' It doesn't put the pressure on any individual but I think every time I've done that I've got at least one booking out of it.

I think I'll try that tomorrow, thanks EllieP. That I can do, I don't like picking on individual people!

My success start ends this weekend so tomorrow's party is my last in SS. Can someone tell me what the targets are, I can't find my sheet. I've met SS1, but only just so I don't expect to go up a level in one party but it'd be nice to have a target!

Ragz i think the next level is £1000 and the level after that is £1600. Level 2 is the spa wisdom and mango and i think level 3 is the wise woman and tea tree. I may be mixed up though.

Have just managed to get a party booked in for 28th November to replace the one i lost which im pleased about.

    Hope everyones well,
    Monica x
  • Ragz, the next SS level is £1000 sales for the Spa Wisdom set and the Mango Everyday collection. SS3 is £1600 for the Wise Woman and Tea Tree ranges.

Had a party last night and was disappointed to only get £220 sales which is OK but there were 12 guests and I really expected people to start their Christmas shopping now we're in November. Only 1 lady brought her Christmas list with her and spent £77 if she wasn't there it would have been pretty poor everyone else only spent around the £10 mark.

My manager has been having parties recently around the £800 mark. I just don't know how she does it! I've observed a party with her and it's no different to what I do so suppose it's luck of the draw really. It goes to show that it's not always the number of guests that are there but the people that are there that count.

I've got 5 parties in Nov, 3 in December and 1 in January not sure how good that is but at least I've got some more before Christmas.

BSB you lucky thing! My last party date is 3rd December but i do have some in november so might get some bookings from those. I hope!

My parties usually do £200-£300 which im pleased with normally but i hope to do more at this time of year.

Oh and if anyone tries to use the Credit Crunch as an excuse for not having a party tell them to get lost (in a nice way of course) cos the bank of england has cut interest rates by 1.5% today! To be honest, apart from my mortgage going down, not sure how else we're gonna benefit!

Thanks all, so if I do £300 at this party I'll hit the next level? Not bad, possible I guess! Will give the lady a ring this evening and see if she's got any orders yet!
I haven't met her but she's my sister-in-law's sister-in-law kind-of-thing! She did say she may not have many people there but I remain hopeful. My sister-in-law is giving me a lift as I don't drive, poor lady has been to about 5 (including 2 of her own) BS parties in the last month so I shall be banning her from buying anything! She will have BS stuff coming out of her ears soon! But if it wasn't for her I'd not have had many parties or sales so I have a lot to thank her for. If anyone can think of a suitable thankyou gift (BS, obviously!) I'd be very grateful? She has most of our products now!

I do this too and it works for me, since i've been doing it I've had a least one booking per party.

Bodyshopbabe- its good that you already have a booking for January as its gonna get harder then to get bookings so at least your business is going to move into January. I'm quite worried about after christmas so
    well done you.
  • Thanks. It wasn't from a party or a previous hostess. My old manager's wife has been thinking about having one for ages and I eventually got her to commit to January.

I wanted her to have one before Christmas ideally but her friend was having one in a couple of weeks and she said that she would invite exactly the same people so there was no point until the New Year.

I've decided I'm not going to get too stressed out about January on the basis that everyone is likely to have a pretty slow month. Once we get into February will start going through my white order forms to see if I can get any booked in that way.

    Hey ladies,

Thought id share a tip for those struggling with sales,
I personally expect my party sales to be near the £350-£400 for this time of year.
And iv done 2 so far, first was £309 second was £428 and i have one tonight and my big fundraiser tomorrow night.

anyway my tip. Im concerntrating solely on christmas shopping at my parties just now, and i tell them i can get them 5 christmas gifts for an average of £12 each. and ask if that sounds good, so they could cross 5 people off there christmas list, so they spend £57.50 and get 5 gifts and these 5 gifts are worth about min £20 each.
they ask how, and i say i'll tell them as i go through the christmas section of the catalogue with them, first stop 3 gifts for £50 so there's 3 gifts crossed off the list, then once im finished the christmas section i usual say, so back to the 5 gifts for £57.50 so we've crossed off 3 of them, the last 2, i pick up the PWP bag, closed, i dont show them the products, i say heres gift number 4, this bag is a big travel bag/make up bag and can be given to a male or female, then gift number 5......the products inside and this week of course blag about the fact that the bath oil is included for this week only and its worth £12 alone, never mind the other products.

Im selling the PWP's with no problem, im getting at least 1 person going for what i just mentioned then anyone else that spends over £40 is buying it.

Hope that helps some of you. :D;)

    Luv H xxx
