You Tube Playback Problem

Hello all,
whenever I try and watch a clip on youtube the video keeps stopping and starting, jumping about and is generally impossible to view.
I thought it might be the video was 'buffering' - but even if I wait until is is fully downloaded and then play it is still awful. I have even downloaded the clips into Real Player and they are still impossible to watch.
Do you think that my 4 year old Dell Inspiron 1150 with only 768 RAM might be the problem? Can this machine handle video clips?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It should handle them fine. I have a P2 233Mhz laptop with 160Mb RAM that handles youtube without stuttering.
Check your video card, and update the drivers if newer ones are available. Instructions here:

(click windows, assuming that's what you're using.)
Also try updating to the latest adobe flash player here : http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
It might make a difference.
Also a good idea to uodate audio drivers in a similar way, and do full malware / antivirus / browser hijack scans. Check the stickies at the top of the techie forum.Russia is HERE0
