White fleece

You can get all manner of netting and fleece to protect crops from bugs on t'internet and at garden centres... I'm always on the verge of buying some (that environmesh looks really good) but I am so tight fisted I always just use old net curtains draped over canes
but they seem to do the job as well. 0 -

I've given up on protecting my brassicas this year and taken the enviro-netting off to let the "good guys" in to hopefully kill off the "bad guys"
Despite the netting I'm infested with white fly - AGAIN - and the flutterbys were somehow getting inside the netting and becoming trapped. I now do a daily inpection and remove any eggs and caterpillars I find.
Would like to know whether there's an effective way of dealing with whitefly without resorting to chemicals though. Will the washing-up liquid trick work on them?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
It worked on the whitefly on my chilli plant0
