My font room smellys a bit fousty (could be a combination of a bowl of cereals ds dropped yesterday and some potty training accidents)
We cant use conventional sprays as dd is allergic to alomost anything but thankfully not to my stardrops/vinigar/water mix :j
I have plenty of esential oils so though i might try making my own but i dont know of any recipies.
Any help would be apreciated

i wanted to make my own perfume, and made it with oils, water and a teeny bit of vodka to bind them together (just a drop - not too much or your room will smell of voddie lol!!
) - you could try that?

vodka, that will fix the oil. and use the smellier essential oils--like lemongrass and lavender.0

I do the same (a few drops in 1 litre of water) for my ironing spray. It turns ironing into aromatherapy. Unfortunately, I get so relaxed, I can't iron any more.
Anyway, I also use it as a room deodoriser/humidifier.
However, I really must find a more "masculine" oil when my lavender one runs out!The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Vodka will disperse the oil in water (use milk if you want to disperse the oil in a bath) but for a room spray it's not necessary - just use a new plant sprayer and shake before each use. Use about 8 drops per 500mls water. My current favourite is 4 drops lavender and 4 drops mandarin. If you want to stay away from sprays altogether use about 9 drops in a bowl of boiling water and leave in the closed room. (Being careful that pets and children can't get to the bowl of course  )
Stephen - lavender is often an ingredient of men's cologne, however you could try lime, petigraine or bergamot for a more "manly" scent0 -
Hi,
I'm sure I have read on here somewhere that you can make your own version of frebreeze?!
I really need some for the curtains, cushions etc... is there something you can make at home which has the same effect or shall I just buy some?!
Cheers0 -

Ok cool, I'm going into town in 3 hours so either way I will buy Febreeze, or the things I need to make an OS version of it!
Maybe it will be half price in Maidenhead tesco too, hopefully!0
