I cant find a capped rate and all fixed rates are 22% above what I already pay -HELP!
Hi,
it's all in the title really.
I want a capped rate, but not with a 22% hike on my BG Energy 5 tarriff.
All the offers Ifind on the comparison sites are fixed rates at 22% above what I pay!
So where is the best capped rate - I cant find anything like a good rate.

You will not find a fixed/capped tariff without a substantial premium to your existing tariff (unless that is already very high). The reason being that it is a gamble both for you and the energy company as to how gas prices will be during the time period of the fixed tariff.Hi,

Do not forget that EDF have already announced a 22% increase and if that is followed by other companies then your fixed rate already looks good and is protecting you from any further increases for the period of the fix.0 -
