reassure your mum that eventually all wil be well, and it will.
Keep your brother in the loop, he needs to help out financially too. If he is working and not paying rent then he should have been, also you must be honest with your boyfriend. If it is a serious relationship and you are buying a house together he will understnad.

Hugs for your mum, what an amazing lady,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Thanks everyone. I spoke to my Mum this morning and she's said she's going to make a few phone calls this morning and for me not to worry about it. I am worrying about it, but I hope everything is going to be ok. She knows that she can talk to me about it. She's said that she can pay it now,and get the account out of arreas (and I can help and my brother, will have to chip in too) but i'm scared that it has gone too far and the courts will take her house away. This site is amazing. thanks everyone who has offered advice! I will post my own SOA later on, because my finances are far from great but i'm slowly sorting myself out.
    thank you!

    Hi Jelly

Make sure your mum keeps talking to you! She may not quite realise that you're an adult now, and that she can lean on you a little bit. Keep at it - remember the advice from chev and pete, its first class.
