Sky broadband and Dell Laptop problem

Recently changed to Sky for my broadband, I use a dell laptop 1525 with vista, the problem i am having is that the sky router has WPA-PSK and my laptop does not have this as an option. Sky people have been no use, they tell me to contact dell.
Is there an easy way to overcome this problem as i would like to go wireless rather than use the yellow cable as this is the only way i can connect at the moment.
Thanks

What happens when you try to connect? Does it ask for a netkey? Personally I would put windows in charge of the wireless connection and see if that help as some 3rd party software for wireless devices just gets in the way.0

On my Dell 1501 you click the wireles utility, double click the router found on the wireless networks page and the dropdown box includes the wpa-psk setting. Is this not the same as on yours? I assume something similar with vista.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

you have 2 options.
1. look for updated drivers on for your wireless card (go to dell site and enter in service tag) this may provide the ability to connect to WPA.
2. go into the router config and change the encryption to WEP and try connecting againThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0
