Dual Supplies

I rang British Gas to cap our heating charges a couple of months back to be told by them that they have stopped doing it, is that correct. Since then we have gone for the Click Energy 5 paperless option, can it be capped.

  • No Click 5 cannot be capped. They have a price protection tariff in place up until Dec 2009 but this is only for dual duel.

Do you have both gas and elec through British Gas?

Looks like you can fix till December 09, although this is price protection 2009 NOT Click Energy 5:

but obviously you've got to make the decision as to whether it is worth it.

Is click energy 5 price protected? I thought it was variable?

It's probably the way I worded it - sorry! You are quite right click 5 is not price protected but BGas do have a different tariff available that can be protected up until Dec 2009 but only for dual fuel.

    Sorry for confusion.
