Moneyextra Portfolio problem

Does anyone else use Moneyextra's Portfolio tool to track their investments? I've noticed they seem suddenly to have started rounding everything up into whole numbers. As a result, the values of my holdings are, irritatingly, a little bit out. Wondered if anyone might know why they've done this? Am thinking about reverting to Morningstar.

I think sometimes they have to round up but its obviously a problem with their system. Have you emailed them asking them to correct the mistake? You're probably not the only one.
Also, who do you use for your investments? Do they not have a tracker?0 -
i've got investment funds with Cofunds (via Chartwell) plus funds, ETFs and shares with HL and various cash deposit accounts. Moneyextra's is the only portfolio tool I've found that shows all my investments and cash, and updates at the end of each day, rather than the following day. i also really like the interface.
but i've checked again this morning and my holdings are definitely inaccurate on Moneyextra. have emailed but no reply as yet.0 -
You are not alone.
This problem follows a time from last Friday onwards, when the Portfolio tool stopped working altogether.
I seem to remember a similar problem with them a couple of years ago.0 -
Mine is fine. Still showing pounds and pence for all the equities.Debbie0

hi debbie, mine too is showing the pounds and pence, but they don't tally with the actual value of the investment as shown by Cofunds. that's because the amount each holding changes by each day is being rounded up. for eg, if my Invesco Perp Income fund goes up by 1.51%, Moneyextra rounds that up to 2%. if it goes up 1.49%, Moneyextra rounds it down to 1%. that's quite inaccurate.0

...... and the current prices are shown pence and no decimal; as in 103.00 instead of 103.470
-
In my portfolio, for example, RBS is showing as:
mid: 198.90
change on day: -7.35
bid/offer 198.80/199.00
gain/loss on day: 3.57%
So I haven't noticed any great rounding errors, though I guess the actual prices may differ fractionally? My totals are odd fractions, too.Debbie0 -
Sorted now.
Back to normal.0
