Zonealarm firewall

I downloaded Z/A firewall yesterday after reading it was a better alternative to the windows one, I noticed immediatley that my computer had slowed down, also got an information bubble saying it had to closedown some of my applications and start using virtual memory: I had a look at task manager which showed the page file usage at 1.93Gb instead of the normal 560Mb, is Z/A that memory hungry.

I used it but ditched it. I am VERY happy with the Kerio firewall which is also free.

Apparently there were a couple of problems with the earliest ZA6, but the current version 6.0.667.000 seems ok to me, apart from being slow to start. The forum on that site mentioned hasn't anything about ZA recently.

I did go through the program permissions at the beginning though - it seemed to have switched the default on several from ask to deny
