EDF - Online v3 - just been told this tarriff hasn't changed!!
Hi
EDF have just told me that I am on one of the best tarriffs at the moment and this was unaffected with the price increase last week. He did say it will probably go up but I am still on a really good tarriff and is unlikely to be affected as much??
Have I been told a porky or is this true??
Thanks for your answers in advance

Im on that tariff (dual fuel) and I have been told it is going up to 13.64 high rate and 9.31 lower rate for electric and the gas is 5.3 high rate and lower rate is 3.056. I would check it again because I can't imagine them raising it for certain customers and not others. I have today switched to npower via quidco and I'm going to see what happens.0

Bump.
Anyone else on v3 spoke to EDF yet?0 -
I was but have since switched away.
The last time EDF told me that v3 wasn't affected, it took them a whole week before they put up the price anyway!0 -

I had great fun with them the other day when i rang them up to ask how much the Online V5 had gone up by. It seems that the call centre staff at EDF make it up as they go along as one person told me that EVERYONE with EDF would see their prices increase by 17% for electricity & 22% for gas but when I asked her for my revised online V5 electricity and gas prices the percentage increase worked out hight than the above figures. The increase (including VAT) for Online V5 in northern area were as follows:-
Electricity:- 1st 225 kWh @ 12.62p Rest @ 8.14p
Gas:- 1st 670kWh @ 5.209p rest @ 3.029p
It seems that they have reduced the upper tier of gas from 1465kWh down to 670kWh which is a partial saving.
To continue. I then rang back to ask the same question about rises in prices and was told that there were NO regional variations in electricity & gas prices which anyone with half a brain knows that there is and that the 17% & 22& were "averages". At this point I asked to speak to a "supervisor" who turned out to be just as ignorant in being able to answer my question which was "how much have fuel prices increased in my area" again she had no idea and confessed that staff answering the phones were "learning on the hoof" , apparently they have people walking around explaining the new rules to them when they put your hand up. So if your put on hold it's probably because the CS agent doesn't have a clue what your talking about and has to ask for help.
EDF 0/10 for customer service.0
