Have you...
1. Gone over your limit (even for a very short period)?
2. Paid late?
3. Had a direct debit payment refused by your bank?
4. Incurred any £12 default fees?0 -
the only thing that has happened is that they tried to take the whole amaount i was owed them last month instead of the agreed £50 payment they tried to take the whole £1950 or what ever it was etc etc anyway they charged me and i went over my amount. they agreed it was their mistake and i got my charges back. So anyway does it look like they r punishing me for their mistake?0

OK, aswell as charging you they have removed your 0% promotional rate.
This is the reason, not the fact you made a Cash Withdrawal.
If it was a mistake on their part, then they should re-instate the 0% rate. I would call them up and request this.
If they refuse, there is always the official complaints procedure.0 -
2b honest i dont think the girl knew what she was speaking about. Ill give them another call and if that dont work ill contact the OFC. Thanks 4 that0

I'd go down this route straight away Nick...assuming the OP isn't holding anything else back?...there is always the official complaints procedure.
OP: Spending up to within £12 of your limit is a dangerous game to play, as you have found to your cost.
Presumably you've also incurred charges with your bank? You should be asking Virgin (MBNA) to reimburse these, and I'd suggest a credit to your card account would be the best outcome.0 -
yes ive sent away 2 virgin also to cover my bank charges which i received cos i got charged £35 but am waiitng for a reply from them.
just phoned virgin and he said i now to 2 phone their department to ask 2 get my 0% reinstated cos it wasnt my fault. The guy was alot more helpful than the woman the other day. Thanks again for the help!!0
