Help.. totally confused
Options
Currently with npower on sign online v8 and pay £44 electricity and £31 gas.
Have only had 1 bill for 5 months as I only switched to them late last year and calculate have used 14000 kwh electricity and 8100 gas.
Using price comparison to compare capped tariffs and the cheapest ones are £300 pa more than I currently am paying.
How can this be? What should I do? I have used either monthly bill and/or kwh and still the same. Doesn't make sense

Sorry yes you are right. Its 14000 gas and 8100 electricity
We only have a bill for 5 months so have worked out annual usage from this. Have also put monthly spend into comparison sites too0 -
Thats quite alot of elec but if we take a month to be 30 days the usage that you have. you can have gess'timat at the annual usage 34066 gas (alot) and 19710 elec (alot) that would be an avrage of 56 kwh per day Ithink that you realy need to check the figes because these don ont look right. If you provide the readings that were used might be able to see what is going on.LBM:j -16/06/04

No the usage is the annual use. I used the 5 month bill to get the monthly and then multiplied by 12 to get these figures. The £ is the monthly DD.
My query is my predicted bill with npower is jut over £900 and the is using both sets of figures. When I compare this goes up to £1300 to cap.
What should I do?0 -
Don't forget that the 5 months you are working on are your winter figures and your summer useage will be a lot lower.
Looking at my bills my summer gas is about one quarter of my winter use and electricity is about a half (based on gas combi boiler for heating and water).
Your annual figures might not be as scary as you have predicted. My name is Paula and I am a low carber1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg
(Atkins/IPD) 24/1/13 - 69kg! Yikes!

Thanks for that.
The question I am asking is that if my predicted bill with npower taking either my annual usage or my monthly dd will by £900 is there any point capping if then my bill (using the same figures) will be £1300 to switch????0
