    i'm no expert on Excel but doesn't #### usually mean that the cell isn't wide enough to fit the number?

    I thought so too. Try double clicking on the right edge of the cell/columm to adjust the column width to automatically fit.........and this should reveal the hidden digits behind the ####.;)

    This can't be the quickest way though......

    This is the way I do it - I know of no quicker or better way to convert text to numbers.
