Cancellation charges, fixed tariffs not actually fixed, quidco money!!! HELP!!

I swapped to British Gas Click energy 5 about 4 weeks ago (applied well before that) via quidco.

£40 is added to my quidco.

Since the first of the big 6 put prices up last week I will benefit from a capped rate now. Therefore I have just signed up to Scottish Energy 2009 Capped NSC tariff.

Anyone know if my £40 quidco is safe?

It mentions cancellation charges on that tariff. Anyone know how much these are?

I also heard people in my office talking about capped rates being crap anyway as they can still put prices up if they rise by much anyway (in the small print apparently). Someone says this happened to them last year and despite being on a fixed tariff prices raised by 10%. While I doubt this is true, many people seem to agree. Anyone know anything about this??

Muchos gracias in advance!!!
