A mate gave me this web address http://www.duy-td.com/ saying the stuff on there, (everything from engines to digital SLR's), was really, really cheap.

He's right about that, but it's so cheap surely it has to be a con Anyone had any dealings with this site?

It does look too good to be true, but would like to know more if anyone knows any more?!

Doesn't give much confidence. Chinese site (poorly made), no address, hotmail email addresses, no positive reviews/feedback anywhere. And I bet they want you to pay by Western Union.

Edit: Looks like they do give addresses (plural, not just one). All chinese obviously.

They could be genuine for all I know but they seem to have all the "telltale" signs of a scam. You may even get your product but then they may be fakes. I certainly wouldn't give any payment or payment details to such a site like that unless there was at least genuine positive feedback somewhere.

Yep it just looks too dodgy to be any good.

My mate hasn't purchased anything, (think he's hoping I will:rolleyes: ) yet.

But when they are selling a £1000 digi camera for £250..........umm :rolleyes:

You can pay by paypal but only 2,000euros and up.

Well if anyone takes a punt let me know.

Where did he/she hear about the site? - no doubt through some spam.
A whois on the website gives a completely different address which looks fake.

Definitely a scam there are gazillions of similar sites

Just got one of these mails to from someone who has my email address.

Basically as far as I can see, the sender of the email has not sent you the email - someone has hacked their hotmail/msn/yahoo account and just sent the email out to their entire address book.

Email or call your friend and ask them if they have sent you this email - tyhey will be surprised!

So whether or not the bargans on the website are real - i dont know, but their marketing methods are highly suspect.

do net get yourself caut in that website. It is a scam, I know what I am talking about because I am a victime.

they make a deal with you, let you pay for it, several day after they gave you a tracking number, you do not see it and they tell you that it is because the customhouse hold the shipping because you need to pay for export tax (lol, continuing to try to take some more money from you) and that tax is 50% of the value of goods.

they tell you that you have 3 days to pay for it or it will be added a holding charges....

Anyway, do not go there, fortunately it was not that big for me.

Take care people and let everyone knows about those kind of websites.
