I am looking to buy 2 MP3 players for my son and daughter for Christmas.
I would think about 256 memory would be enough if that held about 60 songs.
I would not want to pay anymore than 30 to 40 quid each for them as some of the sites charge extra when delivering to Northern Ireland.
Any recommendations welcome.

well...i have a 128mb mp3 player and i have some mp3 compression software.
I've managed to get about 45 tracks on aswell as a few word documents and scool work.
u can hardly tell there is a loss of quality after compression0 -
There are plenty of cheap mp3 players around at the moment.
If you want one with proven reliability and build quality, you won't go far wrong with the Creative Muvo 256 for £35. This will also play DRM protected files if you plan on downloading tracks from the main music sites.
You can get an Inovix iMP10 512K for £34. This won't play DRM files. I've bought a slightly higher model for my daughter for her Christmas, but I don't think the build quality is anywhere near as good as the Muvo (of which i have one).
There will be p+p charges on top though. I bought both mp3 players from that site.
Just my tuppence worth.
