Hi, I am new to this forum. I am considering an IVA but does this affect my employment, that is, will my employer need to be contacted in any way? (I will lose my job as I work in a law firm ... not a solicitor, unfortunately) Also, what does it mean that an IVA will fail? Cheers0

Hi DFD , employment is only usually effected in a small number of professions....accountants, solicitors, FSA regulatory etc.
Please, please get a second opinion on your IVA advice from the charity debt advisory agencies ( see tool bar) b4 proceeding . Your IVA will not necesserly fail but you need to make absolutely sure it is right for you.
Take care & may be worth starting your own thread for specific advice.
