Dont know about the specs but this one is from a recognised brand and is cheap for a plasma.
However check/ compare the power consumption as plasmas usually use more power than LCDs. But usully have better picture quality.

If you were to buy this, get it from John Lewis as they give a 5 yr warranty.

On another tack, everybody knows Sky HD only broadcasts 720 lines, but an ordinary TV already receives 625 lines*, not a vast improvement in picture quality. That quality will be negated if your new tv is larger than the non HD tv you are replacing by more than the percentage increase the change from 625 to 720 gives in vertical resolution.

Well, BBC HD is 1080i, so a TV that can show the broadcast at its native resolution you'd think would be a good thing. (Subjectively, I think it shows up MPEG artefacts more than on a 720p TV, but there you go.)

The problem is this: Freeview and SD satellite are worse quality than a good analogue signal. They're horrible and blocky, and using an HD TV to watch them makes them worse.

If you've got a tremendous analogue signal, you may well find that a CRT gives subjectively better quality than watching the same analogue signal on an HD TV - but I defy you to find an SD channel that looks as good as BBC HD.

You need to see one set up properly in your home, the picture quality is fantastic, the best I have seen on any 42", I have had mine for about 9 months, the picture quality gets better and better as it gets " bedded in ".

Also lots of people happy with it on AV Forums.
