Prices are going to continue to come down fast. Housing was already a massive bubble at very peak of affordability through 6-8 times salary. To say it is going up another 25% is just tosh. The banks are restricting lending not lax lending anymore and this process is likely to go on for years. Without the banks being well funded there is no way prices will stabalise let alone rise.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

No, no-one knows, but equally most people can give a pretty good guess that this is pants.
I certainly wouldn't risk buying now.
Happy to put my money where my mouth is and WAIT FOR BIG FALLS.

Shame on you, BBC, for publishing this sh1te. Everyday you get a bit more like the Daily Mail/Express.Hello.0

'The NHF said that house prices in England would fall by 4.4% in 2008'.
Ummmm.....haven't they already fallen more than this in the first 6 months? Oh, I see, they're gonna recover towards the end of the year, and then fall back down '2.1% lower in 2009'.
Makes perfect sense, really.Hello.0 -
I'm dubious. We'll see but it would mean house prices continuing to rise faster than wages unless wages see a big pickup in growth.0

You could look at figures where someone really does know.
Such as: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7520834.stm
Predictions of the future are just informed guess work.Happy chappy0
