very loosely a money-saving request.
My friend wants to spend a short time back in Ghana after completing Phase 2 training. To save cash, he wants to advance book his air tickets. Does anyone know how much leave is given at the eend of phase 2? I believe it is 2 weeks at the end of Phase 1.
Thanks for your help.

what unit is he joining as it really depends......RMP get a weekend off before they go to Phase 2.....yet the Armoured corps lads get 2 weeks.....it really depends on unit and when his unit wants him...if they are about to deploy etc he may only get a week/ weekend
he best take out travel insurance as he could find that he made be told he can have the leave only to have it taken off him......the joys of being in the forces i'm afraid and no there is nothing he can do about it especially at his levelIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
why did he not do this prior to joining up?
As Cat states, it all depends on when his Unit requires him, or if/when the next phase course starts. Need more info!0 -

In short... You can't make plans to go back to his country of domocile so far ahead. Once he's in the army he'll realise... They could change their minds on dates at the drop of a hat.
And to be honest... he'll safe more pennies if he books close to the time. Ie Last minute flights... that type of thing.0
