I would like to get the best credit card for Air Miles (ideally without paying an annual charge - I hate paying for credit cards). I shall be travelling a lot in the next few weeks (business class) which I have to pay for myself - so which card would be best for me to get? Money supermarket hasn't helped much

are you talking about frequent flyer miles or actual "Air Miles" which is a company dealing in airmiles?
if its frequent flyer miles, which airline will you be travelling with mainly?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
Frequent flyer miles. I usually go BA, but as I shall be in NZ for Feb next year, then maybe Air New Zealand or Quantas may be better.0

Air New Zealand is part of Star Alliance, which UK airline BMI is part of. BMI have a credit card (run by MBNA), details avaiable on the BMI website. I think they have a promotion where you get free miles.
Qantaus (sp?) and BA are part of OneWorld. BA have a card agreement with Amex, which is actually very generous. However there is a charge. The charge is £120 a year for the Premium Plus card, but this can be reduced. Get a Blue or Platinum credit card (watch out for the minumum yearly spend requirements, do a forum search for that) and then you apply for your BA Amex card. The result is the fee is reduced to about £30 for the year. The Amex website has full details of earning potential."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
Hhhm sorry, I may be a little bit thick here. I have looked at Amex site and the Platinium Plus looks great - but £120 is a bit steep. The Platinium has an annual fee of £60. Could you explain in more detail how to get these annual fees reduced?0

As I've said apply and get the Blue or Platinum credit card (NOT the charge card or the BA one), THEN apply for the BA AMEX Premium Plus account. It will not be written on the website, but this is the case.
Also apply through one of the cashback sites (Rpoints, Greasypalm, Quidco, etc) and get some extra cash."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I see people selling information on how to regularly get 1000s of airmiles for free. Anybody know what they're all about?I know nothing0
