Swollen Feet!!!

Hi Guys, is there any of you out there that has been suffering with swollen feet because of the hot weather?
Mine have been swollen for the past 3-4 days but now feel like the skin is going to tear... i have no movement in them and have had them stuck in a bucket of cold water all day to try to eleviate the problem...
I have been sleeping with my feet elevated on pillows to try to help through the night but all to no avail...
I am really unsure at to go visit my GP to see if i have an underlying problem...also, more on a personal note, my pee has been smelling really strong these last few days despite drinking copious amounts of water, partly because of the heat, but also to try and flush myself out...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated..
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

I think you should make yourself an appointment with your GP as perhaps you have a UTI?

i know water retention is a side effect of a UTI but would that not show up all over my body... like my hands and fingers? or just my feet and ankles.

Yes my feet have swollen during the hot weather. Gonna leave it another week or two before I visit GP. It's uncomfortable but not unbearable..

Go to the doc. Could be any kind of infection. Should have seen me after an insect bite......Michelin Woman! I couldn't get my shoes on. I was amazed to hear it was an insect bite that caused it.

You could always speak to your pharmacist in the first instance if your doctor is hard to get hold of?

I tend to get this when it's very hot too.

i would make an appointment to see your GP immediately.

In the meantime, keep your feet as elevated as possible and drink plenty of fluids.

    or pregnant?

I am currently pregnant & have swollen hands and feet in this weather. It goes down as soon as the weather cools.

My sis has had swollen ankles for awhile now and thought it was connected to her thyroid problem. When saw GP the other day, was told to expect it at 'her age'. She's a very very young 60.

I've had them on and off - obviously when flew to and from hols. And have come home each night from work, well most nights with puffy ankles, for past couple of weeks - my crocs have helped.

Its sooo annoying and not an attractive look.. :o
