help for disabled driver unfair parking ticket

took my mother whos disabled out for the day to cardiff had great day got back to the car which was parked legally in the disabled bay all valid badges displayed correct way up and valid time her badge will not run out until 2010 only to find a fixed penalty notice on the car saying parked illegally in a disabled bay no badge showing strangely enough the ticket was placed over the badge which was displayed on the drivers side dash board and when i looked at the reg mark on the ticket it was wrong showing r instead of a p which is on my reg the rest of the reg was correct. I fully intend to contest it I did take a photo of it with my disposable cam which i keep for any bumps which may happen but it isnt showing the date do i stand a good chance of winning

If this is a council ticket fight it - if it is a private company you may well be best advised to ignore it (they will say you have to pay it before you can contest it, and then keep the money either way), and also they'd have to take you to court and they will not as they are very unlikely to win - and they have no legal right to demand payment as a "fine".

Also ask at pepipoo.com forums as lots of knowledgeable people on these sorts of things there.

If it was a printed ticket and the reg was incorrect,then may be difficult for them to trace you?

If the reg was incorrect, throw the ticket in the bin and forget about it. It's unenforceable.

Just a thought though, was the badge showing the right side?
