Windows Media Player will once you have the DVD-Video CODECs on your system, which adding Power DVD does.

Video Lan (VLC Media Player) will.

    What errors are you getting?
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

vista codecs has all codecs youll ever need , but if you have a low power pc(old) then vlc would be best.

you can choose only to install codecs you need , and even though its called vista codecs it will work on xp.

You can also search out alternatives to realplayer and quicktime if you use them also and install them instead of the originals...but that wont affect dvd playback.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I use this codec pack. It comes with Media Player Classic, which I prefer to the earlier mentioned VLC. During install, it should ask you if you want to keep the file associations as they are, or change them to MPC. It doesn't really matter either way. You should be able to just install then run it, and it'll play anything you can throw at it.

I completely agree with IVIV, Media player classic is the best player I have come across, it's also good if your PC isn't that good, it's a small program that works very well.

VLC player will let you watch dvds that come up with copyright problems in Media Player so worth downloading.

I'd like to echo Cloister and iviv in support of Media Player Classic. With the codec pack I can play all formats on my widescreen TV.
