The Hair Group mag promotion - scam?

Problem is that I do have to worry about the delay. The voucher's not just for a normal haircut, but for a wedding hair trial so time is of the essence!!
Well I rang the number given by scarface (thanks), and although Michelle apparently doesn't work there anymore I got hold of someone else. She was rather rude and unhelpful I have to say, but in the end I *think* we sorted something out.
She said they'd had my form but there was no participating salon in my area. I said there were several salons near me and she asked me which. One of them is participating so she said she'd get them to call me - I hope she actually does though
It really was unreasonable to say no salon in my area - there were at least 6 on her list which are pretty near, 2 of which are very near. I live in a small village so obviously didn't expect there to be one here, but travelling for 10 minutes is still surely 'within my area'! I got the impression that if your postal address doesn't contain the town name of one of their salons then hard luck. And they also didn't bother to notify me of their 'decision'.
I've now heard elsewhere of people who actually took up the offer, but then being asked to pay upon leaving. They were too embarassed to argue so ended up getting ripped off. I shall be extremely careful if I actually get an appointment - I'll take a copy of the offer with me.
So all I can do now is keep my fingers crossed!0 -
When you book you have to tell them that you are booking in conjuction with the offer and you have to take the letter in with you. Confirm it is free on the phone and before you have your hair done, then everyone is aware and no-one has any comeback to ask you to pay. :beer:0

i sent off two forms last year and heard nothing. my nearest participating salon is less than a mile from my house. they did call my mum once while she was out, she redialled the number and found out it was that salon but nobody knew anything about it and they never called back. the staff were rude on the phone, knew nothing about the offer. she gave them her number to pass on to a manager, to get the manager to call her, no call. waste of a stamp, i'd never participate again and will not use the salon either, plenty of other places to get my hair cut.52% tight0

I know many of you have bad experiences with this promo but my wife had a very pleasant experience in a hair salon in Farringdon, London called Glass. she had a very good haircut for free and they had also prepared a goody bag in advance for her which contained a large shampoo, conditioner and hair creme. All for nuffink!!!!0
