Forgot to tell you yesterday when we took the rowing boat our DS2 and his friend went out in a canoe. They came paddling towards us at full speed saying look what we have found. In their boat is a soaking wet shivering pigeon they have 'rescued'. They paddled it back to the boat house, it was like an episode of dora the explorer with Diego rescuing an animal in distress.:rotfl:

Really grumpy today/this evening - Day 18 I think which is never a good day for me. Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

I need to do a mystery shop and go to the bank in the morning. Pm I am going to take DS3 to his teachers wedding. Also need to start the packing as DH is away all week on business, back Friday night and we go early Saturday morning.

some of you are slacking this evening - fancy hitting the booze while i have stood ironing for the past 2 hours

I still have a bit to do in the room tomorrow, but seems though i couldn't get ds2 to settle any earlier, that is as much as i am doing tonight. It doesn't look that much better, but then again, i can't get into our wardrobes or ds1's wardrobe as the boys are in bed asleep.

i think ds2 is teething - he was nibbling away on my arm and shoulder, i felt like a corn on the cob, and my top was soaking, and we gave him a small dose of calpol and some teething gel in the end.

I think i had best head to bed. I will be up at least once to feed him through the night, and then up between 7 and 8. at least the work i have done will count towards holiday preparations too.

Girls - it has been a pleasure as always to catch up with you all. I hope i don't have dreams of light sabres or giant bras. ;) I will be around some over the weekend trying to get organised. I have done so little this week that i will be really busy while dh can watch the boys.

    Night x

no - just crisis cleaning so the sofa bed being delivered tomorrow can fit in the room. 2 hours of ironing after a 5pm dinner, and i was starving - just grabbing a bowl of cereal and then sleep. I am tired whenever i go to bed. Sleep is for wimps ;)

    sleep tight

Well done all the newbies :D
Flybabybunting every post you get gets a number, in the top right corner, easiest way of finding your daily list is remembering where you posted it. I copy and paste mine then email it to myself.
    soappie good luck for tomorrow
ragz I'd say yes, weekly, this site suggests daily http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles/article.aspx?articleId=1805 a photo of a dustmite, like this http://www.dustmitecontrol.com/Dust-mite_5.jpg made me do it!
nicki well done for surviving the babysitting
Mudbath, restores your faith a bit when things like that happen x Great news on your DHs wages! As for hamsters, sorry I think they are evil :rotfl: I've had loads, not been bitten often but can say honestly that if my son wanted a rodent he'd be bought a rat because they make much better pets. Well done on the private healthcare decision too, I know it's difficult as you hear stories of things going wrong but I am sure you'll have made the right decision.
Michelle honey your doing brilliantly, you've got enough with 2 little guys then manage extras.
Pollybear enjoy having your son home :)
Kaz, well done on repaying the loan, that's a massive repayment amount, wow, what a difference that will make for you
pigpen well done on the loan repayment! Most people seem to have those student ones forever.
SSL - I think AnW'sMum was going away the first week of the hols, I remember she was saying she needed to book somewhere.
SS big hugs, hope your little girl feels better soon
Kaz and boddy :o thanks for noticing, well sort of, didn't think anyone would be able to tell, must come across in my messages

It's been a little stressful here with many things to do, see, sort etc all at once. So here's my little rant :D look away now if needed :o

    1) OU stuff, assignment due, no motivation and no software eeek!!!

    2) DPs mother is back this week. She's managed to irriate me already, first night back she moaned as DP couldn't collect her (Tuesday when we had an event on), second night she got stupidly drunk and we had to go collect her car for her at 10pm at night, tonight she phones wanting DP to do something for her on Sunday :D tough we're away, when he told her we'd got a caravan she had a moan about money he owes her, they'd agreed a payment monthly, I bought the caravan so she was politely told to sod off. Then I find out since Tuesday she's seen her Mother (who's been very poorly with cancer) once since she came back for 20 minutes, she's too busy getting drunk with her friends. Of course she hasn't seen the boys either but she never does, she said hello once to them last time she was back. The woman just annoys me, I'm just pleased this time we're away most of the time she's back, even DP when we had to go find her car said 'roll on Sunday'.

    3) We're probably going away too much :o there you go I've admitted it, it takes some preparing for going (my list for tomorrow is horrific!) but we enjoy it so much it's worth it. We're away Sunday - Thursday, back away Friday to Sunday somewhere else, leave there the Sunday to go down to Harrogate, back Thursday and away again the Sunday until the next Friday :rotfl: I'm trying to plan when I can do some washing. Now I am looking at a seasonal site locally I can book onto until October HT ends, so I can just take the boys and dogs on my own on weekends :D seen one at the site we're at next week or there is the sister site north from us so will see if we like it first. Bit 'nervous' about doing it all alone as DP will be at work, I know I do at home but we'll see how it goes, will have to warn his Nana as he'll probably turn up there wanting feeding if I am away all weekend.

    4) When we're not away DS2s a nightmare, he's bored, winding the dogs up, being a mischief. He's been playing with the dogs today but when Megan went for the ball she fell, now she's limping again (arthritis in her shoulders/front pegs) I keep telling him she's not a puppy but she tries to behave like one. DS2 wants to be outside all the time, winds DS1 up because he won't go out and play with him then WW3 starts again. Hence it's easier at the caravan site because there is usually someone to play with, his school friends are all away at holiday care etc because their parents both work, on holiday, with grandparents etc.

    5) I have a cold and really bad ear ache again, have for a few weeks now, which I won't dwell on but IT HURTS!

:o well that feels better getting those few things off my chest

Been another busy day but did enjoy my hairdressers appointment and I can see now :D Spent just over an hour sorting friends awning inc labelling it so she knows how to put it back up. Spent probably close to 2 hours trying to get the pad out of the caravan clean and dry that DS2 wet, can't find the waterout pipe off the vax so had to soak it in the bath then try to pull the water out with the vax. Have put that somewhere to dry, well hopefully dry, put another wash load then did 2 hours in the garden until it got dark which still needs work (don't want an overgrown mess when we get back!)

I've also been doing a use up month so far, we've been doing it a while to be honest, but this months getting close. I've just made myself italian style couscous and chopped up sausages, it's a bit weird but edible. I'm trying to keep on just one FF until September as we're away a lot, the thought of loosing 2 freezers full scares me more than no food in. I've managed to bulk out what was going to be a bolognese for us yesterday to 2 bolognese and 3 chilli meals for DP and I which I was impressed with :D

Weather, well we've had rain here again today. We had a big thunder storm last night, one of the crash/bangs was EXTREME, set 4 car alarms off just in our street, DS2 woke up and youngest dog ran upstairs crying :rotfl: Anyway it'd eased off today so went over and got my friends awning up (she was ready to bin it and buy a new one with instructions! I couldn't let her be so non MSE) it rained a few times on and off since so been yoyoing with the laundry, did get some dry however.
One day I might be more organised...........

nickie - just intrigued as to why you are making an inventory of everything in your kitchen cupboard! Hope it's not your shopping list!

The inventory is my attempt at using up stuff that I've had in my kitchen (some of it for months, since before ex moved out in March) to try and come in UNDER budget this month. I have £200 "spare" after bills to pay for groceries, new uniform, transport (I don't drive), and any unforeseen expenses. I'm hoping that just £20 a week for groceries and £10 a week for transport should hopefully do me. :o I've been overspending approximately £200 a month (it was £500 in March:o ) and it has to stop NOW

Pigpen & Kaz - Great news! Well done!!! :T

    Hugs for all.

DD's wardrobe has been sorted and all she needs to see her through until she outgrows 8-9 clothing is a new school skirt, school jumper (both to be bought tomorrow or there abouts) and shoes (to be bought the last week of the holidays) :D:j:j Even then some of the clothing she has now will last her through 9-10 clothing as well :D:j I love ebay, freecycle & generous family members. :j

I'm off to bed. Didn't realise it was so late :o

    Good morning ladies!

Phew Lil-me I bet that feels better.

Caravanning 'solo' - well done you! No point having it if you aren't going to use it!

and Soappie - hope you have a super day/evening.
(A date - mmm - I remember dates! (Mind you, last one I had came in a box at xmas - chortle)

Ah Nikki seriously cutting back - good luck with that!

I've popped here for a quick 'hello' as I have awoken, so decided to put sheets in washer (on economy 7) but towels now quite finished. So as soon as they have it's back to bed for me, folks.

And they have. See you later!
