What program is it?
PHP files are files that let a web server create content. There are only a few things I can imagine someone running on a home machine that would require PHP. Torrentflux or something like that.
either way, if you're running something that requires PHP, you need to setup an http server, and install PHP. something like LAMP will probably be easiest to setup.
To be honest though, I suspect it's not a PHP file you meant to download, the web server you downloaded it from's had a brainfart and sent you a PHP file instead of the EXE/RAR/ZIP/whatever.
Download the program from somewhere else. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
I can't its a unique program.http://www.XXXXXXXXXX/vbdigishop.php?do=download
it goes and checks stuff for me. Ihave run it previously but I have been careless and infected myself. I have reformatted and now I just get a blank page, I have added the XXXX as its a link.0 -
There's nothing wrong with posting links. If you put the full link in I'll try to download it and see how I get on.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

The php script will be to tell the website hosting it what to do. In this case it is telling it to start the download.
If you post the link (and as long as it's not a virus link) we can see for ourselves if we can replicate the problem.0 -

It's a link that leads to their forum, and I'm not gonna sign up, sorry.

Do you get the same problem with Firefox and Internet Explorer? Are you running a download manager? If so, have you tried disabling it while downloading?
What size is the .php file you download? They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
