Halifax seem to have the best interest free overdraft at the moment, £2750. Would it be possible to have both a Graduate Account (with Natwest, as I have that already) AND a Student account at Halifax? Or is this against the terms of service?

Its usually against most banks T&C's to have more than one type of student account. So its unlikely they'll let you do it.

The £2,750 that Halifax are offering is subject to status I'm fairly sure so depending on your credit score you might not be able to get anywhere near that....

ah ok, thought student loans were available to courses being done at uni,

as mentioned they are for undergrad courses, and you can only get funding once. so if you go back to do a second degree its nigh on impossible to get funding again.
  • I would advise you to defer or to switch to studying part time. If you don't have the funding in place already, your chances of getting it are very slim. There are very few loans that will let you defer repayment and even then, you will be liable to repay as soon as you finish - so you will need to have very good prospects of getting a well paid enough job.

The course isn't going anywhere, presumably, and if you really want to do it, you will still be able to do it in a year or two's time, when you can actually afford it.
