I bought from B&Q some years ago for use in my bedroom and it has been great once you get used to the noise! However I am sure its effectiveness is getting less and wondered if like a car you can 're-charge' (is this the right word) them. It may better to get another one so wonder if there are any suggestions. Something…

That is not a problem at all, let me kno though what you plan on doing now? Keeping your existing unit, getting a higher powered portable or considering a split unit.
