Problem with Jobcentre - What do I do???

Definately a bit of attitude there. Well what do you expect from someone
earning peanuts. Must be the monkey coming out in him.

However the staff in these centres is to help the people who go there and not to pass judgement or try to catch people out. You will always get the hardcore element who are fiddling the system BUT there are also alot of hardworking people who with no fault of there own end up unemployed and having to sign on.

If they paid a decent salary to the JC staff they would no doubt get a better quality of personnel.

Also who the hell are these people to look down on anyone. I'm really not surprised some job seekers turn abusive. They are there to help and administer the system and treat everyone equally.

what do you mean the truth hurts?

Some people choose to work in jobcentre's so that they have a wage at the end of the day and try to provide a service to those who need it.

Unfortunately we do have a goverment that thinks a jobcentre should be mostly call centre based for booking appointments, placing job adverts etc.

I have posted on threads here with advice when I'm not getting anything from it apart from the knowledge that i may be helping someone out with my advice.

I appreciate you have had a rough time finding a job however there is no need to tar all jobcentre staff with the same brush!

You want to check this out as Job Centres wont even
be able to offer job searches now.

And its not just me who's had a bad experience, nobody likes Job Centre people well apart from other jobcentre workers.

Fine but i'm a human being as well not just a jobcentre worker. I work at a youth club as well where I'm liked, so I don't care if "nobody likes job centre people".

Jobcentres are understaffed so they can do jobsearches when you sign on but are told to refer any other job enquiries to the phones as there are resources at jobseeker direct.

I am currently on maternity leave from my jobcentre job, and I still count as a worker so they do not get an extra person for me being off, although the work is still there to be done.

I'm not trying to disregard what you say Mr skint, but it's not fair to say all people at jobcentre's are looking down at you.

Job Centres Understaffed, Oh please...

Referred to a phone for a jobsearch... Yeah 0845 that costs money,
and now JS Staff wont do print outs.

crikey mr skint,talk about a generalisation,of course there are some bad jobcentre staff but there are bad police ,teachers etc etc

likewise there are some who think they should have jobs laid at their feet ...................but that's only some as well

I have to agree with jenpoptab,lets not tar everyone with the same brush
