Does anyone know the cheapest (legal) way to get a copy of Outlook please? All I want it for is to be able to back up my contacts on my Windows Mobile phone. I'm not intersted in the rest of the MS Office package.

Are you a student/teacher or is there a student or school pupil in your house? If so you can get office standard for £35 (www.software4students.co.uk). I know you said you didn't want the rest of the office stuff but it's actually cheaper than buying Outlook by itself from somewhere. Also if you're in the NHS you can get office through your employer even cheaper.

You just pay for the shipping which is sent from Germany
Through the Microsoft Home User Programme, all staff with an NHS email address are entitled to one copy each of either Office 2007 or Mac Office 2008 virtually for free! You will be charged a nominal postage and packaging fee of just under £18 for one copy of your chosen software.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I don't have anyone in education or the NHS. I need to use Windows Mobile Device Centre with Vista and that insists I use Outlook so Thunderbird won't do.

Does your windows mobile phone definitely not come with a copy of Outlook? My windows mobile pda came with a copy of Outlook 2002 as part of it's pc connectivity software and windows mobile licence.
