  • Hi everyone, have made £40 over the weekend selling lots of Barbies through the local paper. Actually I got £80, but decided to give my DD's £20 each as it was their stuff that I sold and it'll stop them nagging me for money to keep them amused in this rubbish weather. Off to update sig

Finally getting a chance to update the thread with my progress. Why do parents decide to make unplanned week-long visits? Don't they read mse forums? Bah.

Anyway, what with our new Tesco opening and doing its darndest to put the Coop out of business (more power to them, I say ;)) and the parents taking us out for lunch a couple of times, I've actaully managed to save a fair amount this month so far. And made a tenner on Gala bingo last Thursday.

So day 11, at £86.08 so far. A bit under target, but now that the folks are gone, it's focus, focus, focus for the rest of the month.

    Aye right.

Taken other posters' advice and put three old uni textbooks on amazon. We'll see what happens with them.

Anyone interested in Organic Chemistry ;)
