no problems on sky for me.
found this about it:
"I got a new V+ box 2 days ago but it still happens. I have been told it can happen if the transmit power level is too high or low. Currently it is sitting at 61.0 dBmV. I have been told it should be at around 54 dBmV but i am not sure if this is correct. I am getting fed up moaning about this issue but don't know if there is much that can be done."0 -
We've got Virgin, the BBC News 24 channel has been doing this for a few days.I am a coffee bean0

My colleague commended that he was getting a second or 2 of sound cutout at the same moment that a little icon appears on the screen - HD TV connected to his Virgin HD box.
Virgin told him they were aware of it and a firmware upgrade should cure. This might or might not be the same issue that OP has.0
