Would be interested in what is said about this PP17....and I switched to that deal a little while ago. Well, I say switched...more like altered the plan considering the doom warnings about price rises.

I'm on 15. Slightly higher elect, but lower gas prices. Switched when the warnings started. Thought it would be the safest thing...and if it didn't happen then I'd just switch plans again later.

  • I am now trying to switch to direct debit payments to get the 9% discount. They want to take £58 per month for elec and £120 per month for gas. That is soooo stupid. Our total gas and elec for the past year was £1120.

Eek, that sounds painful - let us know if you manage to get that sorted out!

I almost switched over earlier, but then realised I'd be paying virtually double per unit what I'm paying now, and I'm worried again about whether it's the right thing to do. Having read how much money they want to take from you each month I'm even more worried now.

I think I will leave it for a week and try again. We have balances to pay this week (which will up the dd estimated payments slightly) and perhaps the fact we have just switched to a capped product needs a while to take effect. If no joy in a week or so will give em a ring. There is no way I'm giving them £178 a month of my money! (that is why I stopped using DD in the past)
