New camera + sd Card ?

Mr Niceday has finally broke out and bought a new camera. It was the one on offer in Currys 10mp Kodak in Black....anyway
judt tried putting an sd card in that i had from my old camera ( it says on the sd card - samsung MMC+ card 128mb )
it says MEMORY CARD TYPE IS NOT SUPPORTED PLEASE USE AN SD/SDHC CARD ?????????????????

    A MMC card is not an SD card. I believe there are very similar in shape and size, if not identical, but they are two different formats. You're going to have to buy an SD card which aren't expensive.

    you wont get much on 128mb anyway! :P There are some pretty good offers on SD memory at the moment - dabs has an 8GB!!! card for £23 I think play recently had 2GB from £8 inc postage.

    Its always better to have more memory than you think you need, there nothing worse than running out of space! (well there is, but its pretty frustrating at the least).

    Play were doing 2 2GB cards for £8.99 I believe.

    Amazon were doing 8GB sd hc class6 for about £14 - bought 2.

    Before you buy anything, please check (a) what exact type of sd card is supported by your camera (b) maximum capacity it can take.
    GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)

    this card was actually in my daughters broken camera . My card is in my camera that she took with her on holiday. Its a 1gb sd card so hoping it will work when she comes home......
